According to ayurveda, the most important thing responsible for fats and adipose tissue is kapha Dosha, which means humor. Therefore, reducing it can help in decreasing the excessive fats in your body. You have to be consistent in exercising daily. Exercise daily, as the kapha body is more inclined towards gaining weight. It will be very hard to keep up with the exercise program but you have to cling with it. If you are not exercising or losing the weight, you are putting your life at risk.

Yoga is also an excellent way of reducing your weight. It has got some very good exercises that will not only help you in reducing weight, but also improving your overall personality and well being.

And after you have finished exercising, do not take cold drinks and other liquids. As after exercising, your metabolic rate is increased; your fats and calories burn faster and drinking cold liquids will nullify the fruitful effects of exercising.

Ayurveda also recommends the massage therapy because it has treatment modalities. When you are reducing fats and doing exercises, a good massage with gentle oils is very essential.

Sleeping habits also matter when reducing your weight. You should not nap or sleep early after having meals. If you nap or sleep, you will not remain active, which will lower your fat burning process. And if you need to burn your calories faster, you should know that they burn faster when you are active and awake.
