Excessive Weight Is a Silent Killer

Many people dream about losing their weight and become slim and attractive again. Not everyone is fat since their birth. Only people who have some anomalies in their bodies become prone to excessive fattening. People who become fat when they are kids have a very strong reason that they can attribute their excessive fat to. It is because of their poor lifestyle as well as excessive junk food intake that results in excessive fat building all over their body. Their bodies become chubby, and their stomachs start to swell. Statistics suggest that over 64 percent of Americans are over weight, and approximately 325,000 deaths occur every year due to obesity. Most people believe that once they gain on weight, there is possibly no way by which they can reduce their weight.

Such people believe that no matter how hard they try, it is impossible to become slim and attractive again. However, they are very wrong. The main thing to remember while trying to lose weight is that your mind is a very powerful factor. Now, this might surprise more than a few people. How can the mind play any part in reducing your body weight? It does, the mind has a very powerful influence on your life, and what you think can be a very powerful statement.

Make sure you think of yourself as actually being slim before starting to work out. Take one hour out every day and meditate alone. Feel as if you are light weight, and every one admires your new, slim figure. The first and fore most thing to remember while following a weight loss routine is to eliminate all sorts of junk foods from your diet. Stop eating foods from outside, and refrain from foods that are cooked in too much oil.

Oily foods contain lots of fatty acids which result in excessive fat being built all over your body, and your arms and legs seem to grow in size. The most notable warning that tells you that you are eating too much oily foods is that when your stomach begins to bulge out. Eat less oil, and work out more. Walking fast is of no help, and you must run if you wish to lose weight. Jog as much as you can, and try to squeeze in a lap of fast running if you can. This might not be possible at first, but jogging can quite easily be achieved if you have the will power. You must also start exercising extensively. Exercising is very helpful, and helps in burning a lot of calories and reducing that extra piece of weight that accumulates on your body. Another thing to remember while following a weight loss routine is to reduce the size of the portions that you eat every day. If you previously ate 6 portions per day, take it down to four. It might be a bit hard at first, but soon your body would realize and compensate for the extra food itself. You won’t feel the urge anymore and you would be happy with the lesser portion.
